SPENCER -- Mary Jane L. Zimmermann, 64, Spencer, died on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, surrounded by her family at her home in the town of Spencer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield.

The visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m., with a Knights of Columbus Rosary Sevice, at 8:15 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, is assisting the family.

SPENCER -- Mary Jane L. Zimmermann, 64, Spencer, died Saturday, October 4, 2008, surrounded by her family at her home in the town of Spencer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. The Rev. Donald Meuret will officiate and Suzanne Golden will be the organist for St. John's Church Funeral Choir. Mary Jane's four sons will serve as pallbearers. Private family committal services and burial will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

The visitation will be held Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until service time at St. John's Church where a Knights of Columbus Rosary Service will be held at 8:15 a.m. Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, is assisting the family.

Mary Jane was born Oct. 29, 1943, in Marshfield, the daughter of Roman and Eleanor Schnitzler. She attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and was a 1961 graduate of Columbus High School. She and Paul P. Zimmermann were united in marriage Sept. 26, 1964, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield.

Mary Jane was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and was happiest at family gatherings surrounded by her husband, seven children, and 12 grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and had a flair for creating beautiful floral arrangements. She turned her love of flowers into a fulfilling career at the Saint Joseph's Hospital Gift Shop where she worked for the past 18 years. She loved and especially enjoyed touring the United States on motorcycle the last four years with her loving husband, Paul. On a recent celebration of their 44th wedding anniversary, Mary Jane and Paul were able to enjoy one last motorcycle ride together through their neighborhood in Spencer.

She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Spencer, for 37 years.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Paul; and her children, Paul (Lynetta) Zimmermann of Spencer, Renee (Jeff) Walker of Amherst, Patrick (Tracy) Zimmermann of Marshfield, Kim (Scott) Schmidt of Spencer, Kaye (Patrick) Andreae of Marshfield, Troy (Tammy) Zimmermann of Spencer, and Andy Zimmermann of St. Louis Park, Minn. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua, Skyler, Evan, Ella, Savannah, Chris, Nik, Jordan, Jake, Maddie, Hailey and Brady. She is further survived by her brothers and sisters, Eileen Funk of Kaukauna, Donald (Gloria) Schnitzler of Marshfield, Marlene Kennedy of Wisconsin Rapids, Janice (Frank) Pekol of Neillsville, Sister Carol Schnitzler, SSND, of Loyal, Charles (Beverly) Schnitzler and Tom (Barb) Schnitzler, all of Marshfield.

She was predeceased by her parents; her sisters, Sister Joann Schnitzler, SSND, and Bernice Volovsek; and a brother, Jack Schnitzler. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
