Wilson, Udell (Marriage - 18 Oct. 1947)

Miss Udell Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson, Milan, and Arno Fasse, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Fasse, Milan, exchanged marriage vows, Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Evangelical and Reformed church at Milan. The Rev. H. H. Heutzenroeder read the double ring service.

During the ceremony Miss Shirley Fasse, sister of the groom, sang “O Perfect Love,” and “The Lord’s Prayer,” accompanied by Miss Frieda Gaiser at the organ.

The bride wore a tan suit with black accessories and a corsage of red roses.

Attending the couple were Miss Joyce Paul, as maid of honor, and Oliver Wilson, brother of the bride, as best man, and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Fasse, brother and sister-in-law of the groom. Miss Paul wore a light blue suit and Mrs. Fasse a light grey, with black accessories. Both wore corsages of gardenias.

Mrs. Wilson, mother of the bride, wore a rust colored ensemble and Mrs. Fasse, mother of the groom, wore an aqua colored dress. Both had corsages of gardenias.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, and a buffet supper was served to about 50 guests. Open house was held in the evening with music for dancing.

Mr. and Mrs. Fasse left on Monday to make their home at Sheboygan. The bride, who is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school class of 1947, is employed at the Laverenz Shoe company, and the groom is employed at Volrath’s.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Fasse and Lyle and Sharon, Sheboygan; Otto Fasse, Sheboygan Falls; Mrs. Oren LaShay and son, Harold, Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thielke, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Thielke and son, Alan, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ruesch and daughter, Patricia, Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Donovan Thielke and son, Bruce, and daughter, Kathy, Rib Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilson and Rev. H. Heutzenroeder, Athens; Rueben Schulte, Abbotsford.
