Boehm, Patrick J. (November 6, 1967 - April 2, 2010)

 

Patrick J Boehm, 42, of Marathon passed away Friday, April 2, 2010, at St. Joseph's Hospital under the care of the Palliative Care Unit surrounded by family after a year long courageous battle with cancer.


He was born November, 6, 1967, in Marathon, son of Lawrence and Jo Ann (Kordus) Boehm.


Pat graduated from Edgar High School in 1986. He was employed at Green Bay Packaging from 1998 through April, 2009. He worked on the family farm from a young age on. His love of farming, eventually led to him taking over the dairy operation in 1983. In 1999, he converted the dairy operation to raising beef cattle and crops. He was also involved in the family ginseng business beginning in 1976. He continued with the family farm and ginseng until the time of his death. He also served as town supervisor for the Town of Cassel from 2005 - 2009. Pat enjoyed riding his motorcycle, four wheeler and snowmobile with friends as well as talking about and spending time with his niece and nephews.


Survivors include his parents, Lawrence and Jo Ann Boehm, Marathon; one brother, Michael (Sally) Boehm, Edgar; one sister, Lisa (Jeffrey) Mueller, Edgar; niece, Danielle Boehm, and nephews, Derek and Mitchell Boehm and Jarett Mueller; special friends, Becky (Jeff) Hall and Jacqui Stoehr.


He was preceded in death by grandparents; John and Pauline Boehm and Ervin and Belva Kordus.


The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. The Rev. Robert Streveler and The Rev. Barnabas Kyea will preside. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. There will be a parish vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening at the church.


Peterson-Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar is assisting the family with arrangements.


In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Patrick's name at a later date.
