Reich, August (21 Mar. 1859 – 18 Dec. 1936)

August Reich, well known farmer in this vicinity, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bertha Eggert, Dec. 18 at 1:30 P.M. Heart failure caused his death.

August Reich, age 77, was born March 21, 1859 in Germany. He was married there, Oct. 9, 1883. He came to this country in 1912. Mrs. Reich preceded him in death about a month ago.

The deceased is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Augusta Damrow, Mrs. Lena Kopel, Mrs. Frieda Strutz, Mrs. Minnie Schmidt, Mrs. Bertha Eggert; and four sons, Frank, Max, William, Gustav Reich.

Funeral services were held at two o’clock, Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 22nd from the Milan Gospel Mission. The Rev. H. Pindley and Rev. A. Jensen officiated. Burial took place the the Evangelical cemetery at Milan.
