Vincent Wuest (20 Feb 1873 - 8 Apr 1950)

Funeral services for Vincent Wuest, 77, father of Mrs. Frank Seidel, and former operator of a local hotel (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI), were conducted from a Fond du Lac church Tuesday morning, after which the funeral cortege moved to Medford where burial was made in Evergreen cemetery, with the Rev. Father M.J. Kelnhofer, pastor of St. Louis Catholic church here, officiating at graveside rites at 2:45pm.

Mr. Wuest died Saturday April 8, in St. Agnes hospital, Fond du Lac, where he had been a patient for several months, after an illness of long standing became severe.

The deceased was born Feb. 20, 1873, in Forest county, where he spent his early life, and on Sept. 24, 1903, was married to Miss Julia Kraemer who died Aug. 5, 1906. He subsequently remarried, and came to this village in 1915, where he built the Block hotel, now the Alkar Hotel, which he operated until 1930, when he moved to Fond du Lac, where he had since resided.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Caroline Wuest; two sons, Roman and Norbert Wuest, Fond du Lac, and Mrs. Frank (Erna) Seidel, Dorchester.
