 Koffarnus, Clara (1884 – 1964)

MRS. CLARA KOFFARNUS PASSED AWAY THURSDAY

Mrs. Clara Koffarnus, 80, Abbotsford died early Thursday morning at St, Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford.  The Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated, and burial was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

The former Clara Miller was born February 18, 1884, in the town of Green Grove, and received her education in the area schools.  Her marriage to William Koffarnus, who preceded her in death October, 1963, took place November 2, 1904, at Curtiss.  She had lived her entire life in the Abbotsford area.

Mrs. Koffarnus was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mae Karsten, Marshfield, and Mrs. Richard (Hazel) Nelson, Milwaukee, eight sons, Oscar, Dorchester; Arthur, Michigan; George, Colby; Clarence and Herman, Milwaukee; William Jr., Owen; Hubert, Curtiss; and Larry, Wausau; a brother John Miller, Plummer, Idaho; a sister Mrs. Frieda Leitzow, Dorchester; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
