March really “went out like a lion,” as the old saying goes. The temperatures the last week in March were zero and below zero in the mornings.

Mrs. George Boyer is a patient at memorial Hospital in Neillsville since last week.

Mrs. Harold Thoma, Mrs. Louis Matkovich, Mrs. Lydia Dill and Donald Kirn left last week for Milwaukee where they picked up Harvey Dill, then proceeded to Chicago, Ill., where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dill. On their return trip they stopped at the Wood Hospital near Milwaukee to visit Gottlieb Dill, and returned home Sunday night.

Mr. and Mrs. John Panyan of Ely, Minn., spent the weekend here with relatives and also visited her mother, Mrs. Angela Auman, at Memorial Home in Neillsville.

Miss Frances Lesar was admitted to a hospital last Thursday.

Wand Knudsen, Susan Volovsek, Mary Jean Lamovec, Donna Gosar, Mary Govek, Carol Govek, Kathy Klinke and Donna Hoefner won first in vocal solo and ensemble at the music festival in Eau Claire Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zupanc of Loyal were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Govek.

Mrs. Raymond Levesque of Orlando, Fla., was a guest here of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Plautz, Frank Plautz at Memorial Home and also visited other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Artac and Mrs. Ignatz Sladich were guests last Sunday of Mrs. Mary Gosar and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Gosar.

Anton Trunkel, Sr., is a patient at the hospital in Marshfield.

Dick Bayuk of Collegeville, Minn., is spending the Easter vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bayuk, and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lunka left last Monday for Hot Springs, Ark.

James Bayuk of Winona, Minn., is spending the Easter vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Bayuk and family.

Joseph Stremikis, Jr., returned last week from San Francisco, Calif., where he visited his brother, Larry.

Pallbearers at the funeral service last Saturday in Fairchild for Mrs. Amanda Olson were Frank Pozega, Jr., Harold Rice, Jr., Robert Sessions, Jr., Dennis Pickett, Ronald Olson and James Vesper. Mrs. Olson was well known in this community.

Mr. and Mrs. John Trunkel III of Chicago were guests recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Trunkel II.

Miss Bev Volovsek of La Crosse spent the Easter vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Volovsek.

Mr. and Mrs. Vitko Staut of La Crosse spent the weekend here with relatives.

Miss Barbara Volovsek of Milwaukee spent the weekend with her parent, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Volovsek.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kristapovich and family of Lake Mills visited recently with her mother, Mrs. Mary Horvat, and other relatives.
