Green, Mr./Mrs. Emrol (Gold – 26 JUL 1964)

Mr. and Mrs. Emrol Green of Spencer celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, July 26th.

Their day started by attending church at the Spencer Methodist church, followed by a dinner for their relatives at the home of their son, Dever Green of Loyal.

An open house was held at the Municipal Hall in Spencer from 2 to 5 p.m. The hall was decorated in gold and white with a golden bouquet of flowers on the family table.

The anniversary cake was also in a gold and white color scheme and was baked by a friend from Spencer, Mrs. Arthur Hansen. A very dear friend, Mrs. Edyith Sharell of Vesper, cut and served the cake.

The Rev. Otis Green began the program with a prayer. Other selections were presented by Mrs. Dana Monroe, Mrs. Lorrin Nell and daughter Kathy, Mrs. Beulah Philyos, Mrs. Iola Sinette, Mrs. Edward Prokopinski and daughter Judy, Mrs. Lloyd Collinson, Mrs. Norman Monroe and Mrs. Lloyd Hakes.

Those attending were: one son, Dever Green of Loyal; two daughters, Mrs. Iola Sinette, also of Loyal; and Mrs. Edward (Mary) Prokopinski of Spencer and 12 grandchildren.

Out of town relatives were: Mr. Green’s two brothers and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Green from Mineral, Virginia, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Green of Boyd; one sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Merle Underwood of Omaha, Neb., and one niece, Mrs. Ross Janes of Omaha, Neb.

Mrs. Green’s sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Berseth of Stanley, were also present.

Other friends and relatives attending were from Stanley, Boyd, Hancock, Westboro, Vesper, Chippewa Falls, Blinker, Beloit, Wautoma, Greenwood, Thorp, Spencer, Holcombe, Nekoosa, Dorchester, Arpin, Oshkosh, Millidore, Chili, Loyal, Owen, Marshfield and New Rockford, N.D.
