Walworth, Ervin G. (28 DEC 1940 - 29 APR 2013)

Ervin G. Walworth, 72, Stetsonville, died while surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hope Hospice, on Monday, April 29 at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3 at 11 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stetsonville, with Rev. James Babler officiating. Interment will be at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Stetsonville.

Active pallbearers are Joshua, Cordell and Dylan Walworth, Nathan and Christopher Hana and Earl Berg. Honorary pallbearers are Tasha Neitzel, Hanna Rohland, Natalia Draeger, and Ashley and Casey Bucki.

Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Hemer Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.

Ervin Walworth was born on December 28, 1940 in Medford to the late Homer G. and Mary J. (Mathias) Walworth. He attended Medford area schools. After school he worked on farms and did woodswork for a number of years.

On July 29, 1961 at Zion Lutheran Church in Gilman, he married Darlene J. Berg, who survives.

He worked at Stone Container in North Chicago, Ill., until moving to the Stetsonville area in 1971, then worked at Packaging Corporation of America in Colby until his retirement in 2008.

He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed working in the woods, camping, fishing, deer hunting, watching the Green Bay Packers, building bird houses and feeding the birds. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, survivors include four children, Roger Walworth of Medford, Ricky Walworth of Stetsonville, Debbie (Mike) Hana of Medford and Gary (Lisa) Walworth of Stetsonville; three siblings, Donald (Ardella) Walworth of Gilman, Evelyn (Herbert) Messman and Lois (Galen) Messman, both of Medford; 10 grandchildren, Tasha (Cody) Neitzel of Stetsonville, Hanna (special friend Justin) Rohland of Medford, Natalia (Devin) Draeger of Medford, Joshua Walworth of Eau Claire, Nathan Hana of Medford, Christopher Hana of Medford, Cordell Walworth of Stetsonville, Dylan Walworth of Stetsonville, Ashley (special friend Nick) Bucki of Medford and Casey (special friend Jordan) Bucki of Medford; and eight great-grandchildren, Keegan, Brialynn, Cryndalin, Emma, Eva, Eli, Otto and Kason.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Jody Walworth, two brothers, Robert and Joseph and a sister, Betty Walworth.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to his family to be designated at a later date.
