Kaiser, Jacqueline (Marriage - 2 August 1969)

Miss Jacqueline Kaiser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Kaiser of Colby, and Larry Meyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Meyer of Dorchester, were married in a double-ring ceremony at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby, with the Rev. Frank Rushman officiating.

Given in marriage by her father before 450 guests, the bride was attired in a floor-length gown of imported French Beauvais embroidery on silk organza in a modified skimmer silhouette. The jewel neckline and edge of the bishop sleeves were appliquéd with Venice lace. Her lavish petal-strewn, French illusion floor-length veil formed a chapel train. She carried a cascade of rose-colored gladioli and white ‘mums.

Miss Sue Loos served as maid-of-honor and Miss Debbie Kaiser, Miss Patricia Krebsbach, Mrs. Wayne Underwood and Mrs. Donald Meyer were bridesmaids. They wore floor-length lime green linen skimmers, featuring mini yokes of white aue embroidered Val lace, with jewel necklines and short sleeves. Each carried a bouquet of yellow and white gladioli.

Bruce Meyer was bestman and Al Kaiser, Wayne Underwood and Donald Meyer served as groomsmen. Pete Kaiser and Kim Meyer were ushers.

A reception with 450 guests attending was held at the Trianon Ballroom. Music was furnished by the Brothers of Pius X.

After a two-week wedding trip through the western states, they will reside in Dorchester.

The bride is a 1967 graduate of Colby High School and a 1969 graduate of Taylor Teacher’s College. She is employed as an elementary teacher in the Edgar School. The groom, a graduate of North Central Technical Institute in 1969, is an assistant manager of a manufacturing company in Dorchester.
