Polzin, Mary Jane (Marriage - 23 August 1969)

Married at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal Saturday were Miss Mary Jane Polzin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard H. Polzin of Abbotsford, and Sp4 Ronald F. Ampe of Fort Carson, Colo., son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ampe, Sr. of Rt. 1 Loyal. Msgr. Norbert King officiated at the 1:30 p.m. double-ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in an Empire-style gown of Chantilace over taffeta, with an A-line skirt. Her chapel train was of organza with matching Chantilace trim. A crown of lace held her veil. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses and lilies-of-the-valley.

Miss Esther Polzin of Marshfield was maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Paul (Grace) Ampe, Jr., of Kenosha, and Mrs. Ted (Bonnie) Polzin of Coby. They wore matching empire-style dresses of chiffon over Loden green taffeta, with matching veils. They carried bouquets of yellow roses.

Arlyn J. Ampe of Loyal was bestman. Groomsmen were Paul Ampe, Jr., of Kenosha and Ted Polzin of Colby. Serving as ushers were Raymond Wehe of Loyal and John Polzin of Abbotsford.

Gloria Polzin of Abbotsford, dressed in yellow lace and carrying a bouquet matching the bride’s, was flowergirl. Steven Miller of Loyal was ringbearer. Michael Tucker provided nuptial music.

Approximately 200 guests attended a reception at the bowling alley in Loyal, which was decorated with yellow, green and white streamers.

The bride, who is employed in Marshfield, is a 1968 graduate of Abbotsford High School. The groom is a 1966 Loyal High School graduate and spent a year, from December of 1967 to 1968, in Vietnam. He is now stationed at Ft. Carson, Colo.
