Olson, Einar (23 DEC 1900 - 21 NOV 1964)

Funeral services for Einar Olson, 63, who died of a heart attack at 3 p.m. Saturday while deer hunting in the town of Prentice near Phillips, were held Wednesday afternoon. The body was taken from the Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby at noon and lay in state at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Dorchester, until the 1:30 o'clock services which were conducted by the Rev. F.H. Sprengler. Miss Dorothy Kieser and Mrs. Charles Plautz of Abbotsford sang "Just As I Am," "The Lord is My Shepherd," and "Heaven Is My Home."

Eight nephews served as pallbearers: Galen and Ronnie Olson, Orin Kramer, tom and David Malchow, Harold and Kenneth Schommer and Alvin DeBruin. Interment was made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

Einar Olson was born Dec. 23, 1900, in the town of Clayton, Outagamie County, and at the age of one year came with his parents to the town of Holton. His marriage to Josephine Schommer took place Oct. 16, 1920, at Abbotsford.

After their marriage, the couple farmed in the town of Holton (Marathon Co., Wis.) for 27 years. They then moved to Abbotsford where Mr. Olson had been employed at Streckert Manufacturing Co. for 10 years. He retired about five years ago.

He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Dorchester.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Bert (Vernice) Perry, Mrs. Frederick (Mae) Ziemer, and Mrs. Eldon (Shirley) Overright, Bradley, Ill.; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Kramer and Mrs. Edith Beisner, Abbotsford, Mrs. Helma Boreson and Mrs. Ray Malchow, Neenah; and a brother, Oscar Olson, Abbotsford.

All of the children came to attend the funeral of their father; eight of the nine grandchildren were here and the four sisters and one brother, as well as other relatives and friends.
