Hegenbarth, Esther H. (25 DEC 1939)

The United Lutheran Church of Greenwood (Clark Co.), Wis. Was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Christmas Day at high noon when Miss Esther H. Hegenbarth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hegenbarth of Greenwood, Wis. Became the bride of Maurice M. Nielsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nielson of Oregon, Wis., at a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. A.E. Norson before an altar with lighted candles.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a soldier blue crepe dress with a waist length fitted jacket, and a hat to match, and with black accessories. She wore a corsage of pink and white peas.

Miss Beulah Gordee, friend of the bride, and her only attendant, wore a smoke blue dress with hat to match and black accessories. She wore a corsage of pink and white sweet peas.

The groom was attended by his brother, Clarence Neilson, Madison. Both men and the father of the bride wore dark suits and boutonnieres of white carnations.

The bridal march was played by Mrs. A.E. Norson. Minerva, Leona and Catherine Hegenbarth, accompanied by Mrs. Norson, sang "I Love You Truly," as the bridal couple left the church.

A wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents immediately after the ceremony to about twenty-five immediate relatives and friends. The home was decorated with pink, blue and white streamers.

The bride is a graduate of the Greenwood High School and has been employed in Madison for the past 14 months.

The groom is a graduate of the Oregon High School and has been employed at the Dormitories of the University of Wisconsin for the past four years.

The young couple left for a short trip to northern Wisconsin, and will be at home to their many friends at Oregon, Wis. After the New Year.

Those who attended the wedding were Rev. and Mrs. A.E. Norson, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nielson of Oregon, Wis., Elmer and Clarence Neilson of Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hegenbarth and daughters, Minerva, Leona and Catherine, Melvin Fegre, Mr. and Mrs. O.J.
