Columbia (18 September 1969)

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Meyers of Chicago visited Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Bohnhoff Thursday evening. The Meyers once lived in the Town of Pine Valley.

Sam and Mike Werderitch returned to West Allis Saturday after a week’s stay on their property in Columbia. They spent much of their time here making improvements on their wooded lot.

Herbert Wegner and his sister, Erna, of Pine Valley spent Friday evening with William and Georgeana Schulz. Mrs. Ole Aspen of Neillsville visited the Schulzes Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. George Mashin and Tarra, Don Mashin, Barbara Ockerl and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mashin and family of York were guests of Mrs. Ralph Clodfelter and family in Neillsville Wednesday evening. The occasion was in honor of Tommy Watson’s birthday. Tommy is a son of Mrs. Clodfelter.

Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Winter visited Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Bohnhoff Sunday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. George Mashin and Tarra visited at the Frank Jarolimek home in Humbird Friday evening. The Mike Horaks of Montana, who have been house guests of the Jarolimeks for several weeks, were planning to leave soon on their return trip home.

Guests honoring the birthdays of Mrs. Robert Mashin and daughter, Marilyn, at the Mashin home in York Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs. George Mashin, Tarra, Don Mashin, Barbara Ockerl, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Fox and family and her mother, Mrs. Ella Schmidt, of Pine Valley, Mrs. Morrie Williams and Mary, Mr. and Mrs. Wally Clodfelter, Jimmie and Butch, all of Cambria, Howard Clodfelter of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Ralph Clodfelter and three children of Neillsville.

Mr. and Mrs. William Rieder helped Mrs. Emma Sollberger celebrate her birthday Tuesday evening. They presented her with a cake and took her for a trip into the Town of Seif. They drove to the Research Farm and then visited Mrs. Mary Counsell. Upon returning home, Mrs. Sollberger’s telephone rang. It was her grandson, Larry Kolbrak, in Washington, D. C., calling in remembrance of her birthday. She also conversed with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kolbrak who were visiting their son, Larry, and wife there. The Lawrence Kolbraks are residents of Altoona.
