Weyer, Jane Marie (Marriage - 4 October 1969)

Saturday, October 4, at 12 o’clock noon, Miss Jane Marie Weyer, daughter of Mr. and Mr. Robert Weyer of Rt. 1 Loyal, was united in marriage to William Herr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Herr of Rt. 3 Greenwood, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal. The Rev. Norbert E. King performed the double-ring ceremony before 300 guests. Altar flowers were yellow gladioli and white ‘mums.

Mr. Weyer gave his daughter in marriage. The bride chose an Edwardian style gown of imported rayon organza and Chantilly lace. Her cathedral-length train fell from the back waistline. She wore a matching waterfall crown of Chantilly lace and seed pearls. Yellow and white roses with yellow daisies formed her bouquet.

Mrs. Barbara Simonson of Spencer was matron-of-honor. Sue Weyer of Loyal, Juanita Herr of Greenwood and Kathy Martin of Greenfield were bridesmaids. Their avocado-colored gowns of georgette featured long sleeves and pleated skirts with velvet trim. They wore matching headpieces. Each carried a bouquet of yellow daisies.

Francis Herr, Jr., of Greenwood was bestman. Dick Simonson of Spencer, Bill Lindner of Greenwood and James Martin of Greenfield served as groomsmen. Ushers were Ray Weyer of Loyal and Ken Bartz of Marshfield.

Michael Yaeger of Greenwood was ringbearer and Cindy Weyer of Loyal was the miniature bride.

Sister Joan presided at the organ and vocal music was presented by the children’s choir and (missing portion).
