Charles Summering, Jr., and Ruth Marion Gooch were
married at the home of the bride’s father near Neillsville at 9:00 a.m.
Wednesday, Oct . 21, Rev. L.B. Colman officiating. A few of the immediate
relatives and friends, C.S. Pickering, father of the groom, Clarence Gooch,
brother of the bride and Miss Irene Skeel were present, all from Plainfield.
After the ceremony a bountiful wedding breakfast was served and the happy couple
started on their honeymoon trip on which they will visit Merrillan, Milwaukee,
Oconomowoc and Brooklyn, Wis. Mr. Pickering is a promising young farmer and the
future home will be on a farm just outside of Plainfield.
