Boehnen, Kathleen  (05 JUN 1965)

The altar of St. Anthony’s Church Loyal was decorated with white gladiolas and orchid carnations for the wedding of Kathleen Boehnen and Robert Schmidt.  Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Boehnen, route 2,  Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Schmidt, Milwaukee.

The Rev. Father Norbert E. King officiated at the June 5 wedding ceremony at which Mr. Boehnen presented his daughter in marriage.  The St. Anthony’s girls’ choir furnished the music.

The bride was attired in a white Chantilly gown over taffeta with a square neck line accented with sequins and crystals and a fitted bodice.  Her silk illusion veil was attached to a crown of Chantilly lace with crystals and pearls.  She carried red roses and white carnations.

Mrs. Mary Boehnen, Milwaukee sister-in-law of the bride served as the matron of honor and bridesmaids were Margaret Schmidt, sister of the groom and Gaile Beaty friend of the bride.  The bridal aides were seen in gowns of white Chantilly lace over orchid taffeta.  They carried orchid gardenias and white carnations flowers.

Wayne Kode, Milwaukee friend of the groom served as best man.  George Schmidt, Milwaukee, brother of the groom and Kenneth Boehnen, brother of the bride were the groomsmen.  They also performed the ushering duties.

A 4:30 p.m. dinner was served from the church hall and a reception and dance were held at the Legion Hall, Greenwood.
