Lemberg, August ( 03 Oct. 1891-08 June 1964)

Mr. August Lemberg, 72, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 8 at Wood Veteran’s Hospital. He had been a patient there for the past six weeks.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 11, at the Myre Funeral Home. Masonic rites will be conducted by Loyal Lodge No. 335. Burial will take place in the Loyal Cemetery, with military rites by the Loyal Post 175. The body will lie in state at the Myre Funeral Home beginning Wednesday noon.

August Lemberg was born October 3, 1891 at Coalville, Iowa. He married Daisy Corey on January 21, 1920 at Loyal. As a child, he moved with his family to Fort Dodge, Iowa. After his marriage he settled in Loyal where he was engaged in construction work. He service in the armed forces in World War 1. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 335 of Loyal and the Veterans of Foreign wars.

Mr. Lemberg is survived by his two sisters, Mrs. Marie Miller, Clarion, Iowa; Mrs. Al Behnmer (Frances) Fort Dodge, Iowa; three brothers, Joseph, LaFayette, Colorado; John, Tulsa Oklahoma; and Carl, Fort Dodge, Iowa. Two children died in infancy, and one sister, Agnes preceded him in death.
