Wedekind, William (15 MAR 1862 – 29 OCT 1915)

Wm. Wedekind died at his home on State Street last Friday afternoon after an illness of several months’ duration. He was born in Germany and was 53 years of age on March 15. He was united in marriage to Miss Matilda Schultz at Wheeling, West Virginia, and to this union six children were born, all of whom survive their father. Mr. Wedekind and wife came to Clark County many years ago and settled on a farm in town of Grant which remained their home until a few years ago when they removed to this city. Deceased was a man of many excellent characteristics and was well liked by a large circle of friends. He is survived by his wife and the following children: William, Richard, Arthur, Mrs. Geo. Shaw, Mrs. D. Smith and Miss Alvina Wedekin. The funeral was held Monday afternoon, interment being made in the Neillsville Cemetery.
