Rakovec, Delores Jane (Marriage - 7 February 1970)

Miss Delores Jane Rakovec and Arnold A. Wolf repeated marriage vows before the altar of the United Methodist Church in Loyal last Saturday. The Rev. Conrad Michelson officiated at the 1 p.m. service. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wolf of Loyal.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rakovec of Rt. 2 Loyal, was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white gown of hand-clipped scalloped Chantilly lace in empire lines with a redingote effect over peau with a Watteau scalloped chapel train. Orange petals and pearls held her elbow-length illusion veil. She carried an orchid surrounded by white roses and ivy.

Miss Karen Rakovec of Stevens Point was her sister’s maid-of-honor. Miss Jean Schuette of Curtiss and Mrs. Raymond (Joyce) Wehe of Loyal, were bridesmaid and matron. They wore identical floor-length gowns of red satin and white lace with red velvet bows and back streamers. Matching red velvet bows held their veils. Each carried a nose gay bouquet with white satin streamers.

Attending the groom were Jerry Wolf as bestman and James Young and Raymond Wehe as groomsmen. Dennis and Randy Wolf were ushers.

Mrs. Ray (Julie) Feldt was organist and Mrs. Merlin (Irene) Gardner was soloist.

Refreshments were served in the church parlors following the ceremony and a 2 p.m. dinner was served in the church dining room. An afternoon reception and evening wedding dance were held in the Spencer municipal hall.

The bride graduated in 1966 from Loyal High School and is a 1969 graduate of the Jefferson School of Commercial Art, La Crosse. She is employed in Spencer. The groom is a 1965 graduate of Loyal High School and is engaged in farming on Rt. 2 Spencer, where the newlyweds will reside.
