Llewellyn, Cyrill (7 December 1892 - 22 February 1970)

Cyrill Llewellyn, 77, of Willard died Sunday in Neillsville, where he was a hospital patient for five weeks. He had been ill for the last nine years.

Mr. Llewellyn, son of John and Elizabeth (Williams) Llewellyn, was born December 7, 1892, in Cornwall, England. At the age of 21 he came to the United States, to Springfield, Mass. He worked in Kenosha and was employed for 19 years at the Southern Colony, in Union Grove. He was married to Merle Seals in Milwaukee April 19, 1944. When he retired in 1958 they came to their cottage at Rock Dam.

Mr. Llewellyn was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Greenwood Lodge No. 249, F. & A. M., Tripoli Temple of Milwaukee, Greenwood Eastern Star, American Legion and Scottish Rites bodies.

He is survived by his wife; and six sisters, all residing in England.

Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Hill Funeral Home. The Rev. William Dushek, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Neillsville officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Masonic rites were conducted at the funeral home Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Funeral services for Cyrill Llewellyn were held last week Wednesday afternoon from the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. William Dushek, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Neillsville officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers, all members of the Wallis-Hinker Legion Post, were Kenneth Speich, Cletus Susa, Harold Hendrickson, Thomas Elmer, John F. Trunkel and Kenneth Hium.

Gary Schultz sang, “How Great Thou Art” and “Sweet Hour of Prayer” accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Gary Schultz.

Relatives attending the funeral from a distance were Mrs. Margaret Murray of Dakota, Minn., Mrs. Raymond Ingham of Mt. Horeb, and Kenneth Holcomb of La Crosse.
