Pacholke William Fredrick (24 OCT 1921 - 1 JUL 2013)

William was born October 24, 1921, the son of the late William and Matilda Pacholke, in Colby.

After graduation from high school, he proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps. On August 15, 1944, William was united in marriage to Crystal Peterson, in Mitchell, SD.

William was a 65 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union, serving several offices over the years with the local chapter. He was a member of the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post No. 10, Wausau.

A true outdoorsman, William enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. Over the past few years, he spent most of his time rebuilding antique Evinrude outboard motors, a hobby he shared with his son. William and Crystal enjoyed travelling throughout the United States.

On July 1, 2013, William Fredrick Pacholke died at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, with his family by his side. He was 91 years old.

William will be lovingly remembered by his son, Gary (Jackie) Pacholke, Athens; daughter, Diane (Jerold) Twitty, Kent, Wash.; grandson, Kevin (Claudia) Twitty, Auburn, Wash.; two sisters, Bernice Cobb, Owatonna, Minn., and Yvonne (Harold) Mueller, Eau Claire; many nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends. William’s special Wednesday visitors, Gracie and Marias, will miss their time together.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Crystal, in 2006; and brother-in-law, Cap Cobb.

A funeral service was held Friday, July 5, at Grace United Church of Christ, Wausau.

Entombment, with full military honors, was in the Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. You may sign our family guestbook at www.helke.com.
