Washburn Center (16 Dec 1915)

There was a large crowd out to lodge Saturday night. If they could always have such crowds there might be something doing in the Shortville lodge. They are planning to build an addition to the hall, which will be just what they need. They might adopt as their motto, “All Work Together.”

Mrs. Pernod has been a little better for a few days past.

Mrs. Geo. Cramer is gaining slowly now.

The wedding dance Thursday night was largely attended. A good time was what they all had, I guess. The bride and groom have the best wishes of all their friends.

Ralph Short took his mother and Mesdames John Van Fleet and James Carter to town Friday afternoon in the car. Ruth Carter came home with them in the evening.

Mesdames J.A. Short, Wilding and Davis called on Mrs. Pernod Friday afternoon.

There were quite a few out to the Aid Thursday at Mrs. James Carter’s. Rev. Piney and wife were there also. Mrs. Pinney gave another fine talk which was enjoyed by all.
