CURTISS NEWS

The Luther Leagurers of St. Paul’s and Holway Lutheran Churches enjoyed a “Fall Outing” at Rib Mountain on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Art Laabs drove to Northfield, Minn., Saturday where their son Dennis, who is a sophomore at St. Olaf’s, joined them to attend a musical, “My Fair Lady” at Minneapolis.

Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson spent the weekend at La Crosse with their daughter and family. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Ward, Mrs. Orrin Hill of Reno, Nevada and Miss Esther Thompson of Milwaukee left Thursday for their homes after a visit with their brother, Alfred Thompson.

Wayne Godspeed and daughter Gloria of Clear Lake visited with Dr. and Mrs. A. P. Lien and Edith and Roy Ostenson during the past week.

Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Geary and daughter, Mrs. Grace Nicks and Chas. Lehman visited with Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Telin at Menasha over the weekend.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Richter and her sister, Miss Barbara Smith of Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. Arne Harris and family of Chippewa Falls visited over the week end with Mrs. Albert Smith.

Mr. and Mrs. Jake Johnson entertained at a family dinner on Sunday. Present were Mr. and Mrs. M. Breceke and family, Stetsonville, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Schiszik and family and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Johnson and family.

Henry Buss and son Albert Ben Hill returned home Sunday from a fishing trip in Canada.

Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Koffarnus of Curtiss received word from their son, SP/4 Gerald Koffarnus that he has arrived back in Berlin, Germany, following a very enjoyable three week furlough touring Switzerland, Italy, France and Spain. Gerald and his companion made the trip by car.
