JUDITH LUGINBUHL IS BRIDE OF ROGER ENGEL

Roger William Engel of Madison, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Engel, Withee, claimed as his bride Saturday, November 7, Miss Judith Ann Luginbuhl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Luginbuhl, Waunakee.

Setting for the Engel-Luginbuhl wedding at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon was the First United Presbyterian Church Waunakee, which was decorated with arrangements of pink and white chrysanthemums for the occasion.

The Rev. John Thomas officiated at the nuptial ceremony at which the bride’s father gave her in marriage. Miss Nora Bartels was the organist and Miss Mary Bakke sang “The Lord’s Prayer: and “O Promise Me.”

The bride, carrying a cascade of red roses and white chrysanthemums, entered the church wearing a white floor-length gown of taffeta made in princess lines with an empire waistline. The skirt and Sabrina neckline are embellished with alencon lace appliques and the skirt back has soft unpressed pleats ending in a chapel train. Her pearl crown secures her elbow-length veil.

Preceding the bride into church were her aides - Mrs. William Fredericksen, Waunakee, the matron of honor, and Miss Carol Engel, Withee, the bridesmaid. The former’s ensemble was blue and the latter’s pink. Their floor-length formals were made of silk organza and they had matching headpieces. They had pink and blue chrysanthemums.

The junior bridesmaid, Jennie Lous Luginbuhl, carrying a miniature bouquet like the brides was attired in a white silk organza frock with matching headpiece.

William Fredericksen, Waunakee, is best man; Ronald Engel, groomsman, and Joe Luginbuhl, Verona, and Steve Heuer, Withee, the ushers.

Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held at the church’s fellowship hall. The newlyweds will live in Madison where the bride is a receptionist for General Casualty Insurance Co. and her husband is employed at Madison General Hospital.
