Richards, Madeline J. (Marriage - 3 April 1970)

Miss Madeline J. Richards of Madison Heights, Mich., daughter of Mrs. Charles Richards of Detroit, Mich., and Anton W. Adamec of Southfield, Mich., son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Adamec of Rt. 2 Neillsville, were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Friday, April 3, by the Rev. Robert Hoener at St. Dennis Catholic Church in Royal Oak, Mich.

The bride given in marriage by her grandfather, Joseph Oblinski, chose a white floor-length A-line gown of peau de soie and Alencon lace. A crown of pearls secured her three-tiered elbow length veil. Her cascade bouquet of Fucharis lilies and stephanotis was adorned with a string of pearls.

Miss Joann Kuzner of Detroit, Mich., was maid-of-honor. Mrs. Edward Genteman of Neillsville, Miss Alice Gorgas, Miss Marcia Obie and Mrs. Paul Butkis, all of Detroit, Mich., were bridesmaids. They wore pastel floor-length gowns of blue voile and white lace and yellow voile and white lace, and wore matching Dior bow headpieces. Each carried a colonial bouquet.

John Adamec of Chicago, Ill., was bestman and groomsmen were Thomas Kirkwood of Royal Oak, Calvin Meider of Madison and Roy Rusin of Roseville, Mich.

Doreen Richards of Detroit, Mich., was flower girl and Gary Genteman of Neillsville, the ring bearer.

Sister Margaret Francis Ryan, O.P. was the organist, and students of the bride from Bishop Foley High School in Madison Heights, were members of the choir that sang.

The bride, a graduate of the University of Detroit, has been teaching at Bishop Foley High School. The groom is a graduate of the School of engineering at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and is employed as a systems analyst for the Chrysler Corporation of Detroit. They are residing at 30738 Marshall, Southfield, Mich.
