Gladys E. Rennie, 95, Owen, formerly of Marathon, died Friday, August 2, 2013, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen.

Funeral services will be at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2013, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Friends may call from 3:30 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Gladys E. Rennie, 95, Owen, formerly of Marathon, died Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen.

She was born July 27, 1918 in Chicago, daughter of the late Michael and Lillian (Smirt) Lang. On June 4, 1939, she married William Rennie in Chicago. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1984.

Gladys worked as a cook for the former 29 Supper Club and also for the former Valley Inn in Rib Mountain, where she was known for her famous Friday night fish fry beer batter recipe. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed crossword puzzles and swimming. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren.

Survivors include, three sons, William (Gladys) Rennie, Owen, Thomas (Carolyn) Rennie, Gillett, Wis. and Richard (Rita) Rennie, Marathon; 12 grandchildren, Brian (Lori) Rennie, Todd (Nancy) Rennie, Joel (Jacki) Rennie, Chad (Heather) Rennie, Jeremy Rennie, Joshua (Jody) Rennie, Jesse (Lauren) Rennie, Jennifer (Scott) Baumann, Michelle (Richard) Totzke, Craig (Briana Gebauer) Rennie, Christopher (Dallas) Rennie and Ryan (Jenna) Rennie; and numerous great-grandchildren.
