Greenwood (4 June 1970)

Mrs. Hazel Helwig and Mrs. Fred Behrens left Tuesday to spend a few days with the latter’s niece, Mrs. William Jaeger, and family in Eau Claire.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Korn and children of Eau Claire were Sunday visitors at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerrold Kuester and family of Eau Claire visited Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Cox and Mr. and Mrs. George Kuester.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Plunkett visited Friday in Eau Claire, and spent Saturday at the Plunkett home in Tomah.

Weekend guests at the Godfrey Dyre home were Mr. and Mrs. Martin Quast of West Allis and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Olson of La Crosse.

Judith Verhulst was honored at a graduation party held at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Verhulst, Tuesday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Hans Kolpanen of Milwaukee spent Memorial Day weekend at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Meinholdt and with other relatives.

The Adult Fellowship meeting will be held in Immanuel United Church Sunday evening. Hosts will be Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Fravert, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Horn and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Horn. Mrs. Herbert Horn will have devotions.

Members of the neighborhood group will be entertained at the home of Mrs. Henry Vollrath Tuesday afternoon.

Ronald Carteron of Marshfield and Miss Gail Carteron of Chicago spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Carteron. Richard Waditian of Chicago was a guest at the Carteron home for several days.

Mr and Mrs. Vern Smith of Milwaukee spent the weekend at the home of Mrs. Fred Behrens.

Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Sankey and family of Milwaukee were holiday guests at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Scherer.

Mr and Mrs. Thomas Behrens spent Sunday in Chetek.

The 65th birthday of Erwin Welsch was celebrated May 28 at the Clark County Home for the Aged, where he resides.

Weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Hatton were their children and grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Asplin of Rock Island, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Gene Beyer and children, Timmy and Jenny, of Moline, Ill., Mr and Mrs. Donald Hatton and children, Patti and Dennis of St. Paul.

Mr and Mrs. Gerald Ackeret and family left Saturday for a two-week tour of southern states.

Ritajean Carteron and Esther Henaman left Sunday to spend the summer in Wilmette, Ill.

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Abel and family returned to Racine Sunday after spending since Thursday at the homes of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Abel and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Schweiger.

Mr. and Mrs. Don Telford and daughters of Eau Claire and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Warner and family were guests Sunday at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Warner.
