Granton (17 June 1971)

Sunday afternoon visitors at the home of Mrs. Otto Anding were Mr. and Mrs. George Kuehn and daughter, Joan, of the Pleasant Ridge area. Visitors Sunday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lindow and sons Milton and Lawrence, and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Eppers.

Guests over the weekend at the Gerald Ratsch home were Mr. and Mrs. Al Coel and family of Oconto.

Mr. and Mrs. Ron Wegner of Winnebago, Ill., are visiting this week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wegner.

Wendell Hubing is building a new home in Granton.

Mrs. LaVern Vanderwyst was honored recently with a party on the occasion of her birthday (not Mrs. Norman Vanderwyst as was reported last week).

Mrs. Vernon Schumacher is a surgical patient in an area hospital.

Mrs. Frank Sholly and sons, Douglas and Peter, and Dawn Wesenberg returned Friday from Mackintosh, Minn., where they spent a week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Martin.

A group of friends gathered Sunday noon for a potluck picnic in observance of Daphne Beeckler’s birthday. Those present in addition to Miss Beeckler, were her sister, Miss Pearle Beeckler, Mrs. Ethel Berg, Mrs. Violet Spry, Miss Mabel Williams and her house guest, Mrs. Bonita Averill of Portland, Or., Mr. and Mrs. Manford Cain, and Mr. and Mrs. William Schmidtke.
