She was raised on the family farm and received her education at Maple Ridge School. She went to Chicago during World War II and worked various factory jobs. She later returned to Greenwood and married Stanley J. Malaszuk on September 4, 1943 at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. They then moved to Greenwood where Rose resided until entering the Clark County Health Care Center.

Rose was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenwood and the St. Ann's Society. In her spare time, she enjoyed polka dancing, playing cards, crocheting, embroidering, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
