Stillman, Paul (19 May 1898 - 16 August 1971)

Funeral services for Paul Stillman, 73, of Rt. 2 Granton, who died at his home August 16 as the result of a heart attack, were held Thursday, August 19, at 2 p.m. from the Gilbertson Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Eggen of Zion American Lutheran Church officiated and burial was made in the Town of Grant Cemetery.

Mr. Stillman was born May 19, 1898, in Kansas. He was married to the former Jennie Dierk, who preceded him in death. His marriage to the former Irene Leatherdale took place in June of 1944 in the state of Michigan. Mr. Stillman move to Fremont, and later to Goodrich and to Medford before coming to Granton. He was the owner of the Stillman Lumber Company at Granton for the last 20 years.

Survivors, in addition to his second wife, include four children, Chester Stillman, Mrs. Wilma Felts of Nevada, Mrs. Ruth Moerchen of Marshfield, and William Stillman of Granton. A number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and five brothers and five sisters also survive.

Pallbearers were Ross Downer, Harry Zaleski, Ewald Schlinsog, David Lavey, David Winkel and Harry Mengel. Mrs. Roger Helm sang “Just As I Am” and “Beautiful Savior.” She was accompanied by Mrs. Lee Garbisch.
