Voigt, Marion (15 MAR 1917 - 21 OCT 1952)

Miss Marion Voigt, daughter of Mrs. Rose (Kocher) Voigt and the late Julius Voigt, was born March 15, 1917 in the Town of Eaton, Clark County. She received her education here and attended Greenwood High School.

She lived with her parents on the farm five miles south of Greenwood until 1943, when she moved to Marshfield and made her home with her mother and ehr aunts, the Misses Laura, Cora and Ella Kocher, and her uncle Leonard Kocher. She was employed by the Central Cheese Co., Marshfield until 1950, when her health failed.

Marion passed away at her home at 1803 E. 4th St., Marshfield on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1952 following a stroke. The body was brought to the Schiller Funeral Parlors here where it remained until Thursday.

A Christian Science Service was held at the Schiller Funeral Parlors, which were conducted by Mrs. Leon Henry. She was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery beside her father, who passed away in 1944. During the service Mrs. Chal Perkins and Mrs. W.A. Stewart sang "Beyond the Sunset: and "Lead Kindly Light," accompanied by Mrs. Don Warner at the organ.

The pallbearers were Gordon Chupar, Ralph Kocher, James Kocher, Milwaukee; Harold Kobs, Marshfield; Donald Kocher and Wm. Scheuring of Greenwood.

Miss Voigt is survived by her mother, three aunts, the Misses Laura, Cora and Ella Kocher, Marshfield; two uncles, Leonard Kocher, Marshfield and Fred Kocher, Greenwood, and numerous cousins.

Henry of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Chupper, Ralph Kocher, Miss Margaret Chupper, Mr. and Mrs. James Kocher, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Lage Niman, Mrs. Olen Shupe, Mrs. Augustie Bayer, Spencer; George Voigt, Fred and Clara Voigt, Mrs. Helda Zuelke, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Welland, Helen Voigt, Mrs. Heber Voigt, Mrs. Frank Hermann, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hein, Mrs. Herbert Hermann, all of Columbus, Mrs. Forest Calway and Marian, Mrs. Al Solberger, Miss Edna Newel and Mrs. Eileen Seif, Neillsville.
