Koffler, Laura Emily (Boushon) (26 APR 1936 - 1 JAN 2014)

Laura Emily Koffler, 77, Ogema, died on Wednesday, Jan. 1 at Memorial Health Center in Medford.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Jan. 4 at First Lutheran Church in Ogema, with Pastor Robert Giese officiating. Interment will be at Mount Olive Cemetery in the spring.

The Heindl Funeral Home of Prentice assisted the family with arrangements.

Laura Emily Koffler, 77, Ogema, died in the Memorial Health Center in Medford on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014.

She was born in Chili, WI, on April 26, 1936, the daughter of Frank and Ida Boushon.

She was married to Louis Koffler in Chili, Wisconsin, on June 4, 1955. They lived in Oxford, Tomahawk, and then settled in Ogema in 1976. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Ogema and active in the Ladies Aid there. She was very interested in her family and their lives. In her free time she helped with the church rummage sales at the First Lutheran Church in Ogema and at Saint John Lutheran Church in Rib Lake, enjoyed the outdoors and wildlife, especially bear and deer.

She is survived by her husband, Louis; by two sons, John (Sharon), Rhinelander and Louis Jr. (Donna), Colby; by one daughter, Jo Ann (Dennis) Blume, Vail, AZ; by eight grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; by one sister, Frances Gauger, Marshfield; and by three brothers, Donnie (Val) Boushon, Chili, WI, Ronnie (Carol) Boushon, Spooner, and Richard Boushon, Marshfield. Nine brothers and sisters precede her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, at the First Lutheran Church in Ogema with Pastor Robert Giese officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in the spring. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of services.

The Heindl Funeral Home in Prentice is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
