Brandt, Bertha (10 February 1905 - 20 September 1971)

Funeral services for Mrs. Paul (Bertha) Brandt, 66, of Loyal, who died at her home September 20, are to be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Loyal United Methodist Church. The Rev. Gene Carlson is to officiate and burial is to be made in the Greenwood Cemetery. The Roycraft Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Brandt, the former Bertha Severson, was born February 10, 1905, in Greenwood. She was educated in the Greenwood area schools and lived in the Town of Warner until her marriage. She was married to Paul Brandt on December 10, 1928, at Greenwood. The couple farmed in the Town of Beaver until 1948 when they moved to Stratford. They moved to Racine in 1950 and moved to Spencer four years ago. They retired two years ago and came to live in Loyal. Mrs. Brandt was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, in clued a son, John, of Unity; a daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Darlene) Nelson of Racine; a foster daughter, Debbra Severson of Racine; and five grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother, Hugh Severson of Greenwood; and by six sisters, Mrs. Marion Ozanich, Mrs. Grace Luntz, Mrs. Leida Kurtzheim, and Mrs. Ann Severson, all of Milwaukee, Mrs. Dorothy Molle of Unity and Mrs. Gertrude Schutee of Unity.
