Zinsli, Kristy Lynn (Marriage - 18 September 1971)

Miss Kristy Lynn Zinsli became the bride of John Roland Weis Saturday afternoon, September 18, at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. The Rev. David Pankow officiated at the double ring ceremony which united the daughter of Mr and Mrs. Keith Zinsli, Rt. 1 Loyal and the son of Anton Weis, Rt. 1 Spencer.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white A-line gown of silk organza styled with a ruffled lace bodice, long bishop sleeves, and a long train. A short veil covered her head. She carried a cascade bouquet of yellow roses and white mums.

Miss Judy Verhulst of Loyal was the maid-of-honor. Bridesmaid was Miss Sharon Helm of Kenosha. The bridal attendants wore floral print crepe peasant dresses accented with ivory lace-trimmed boleros. Their flowers, a combination of yellow and white daisies on an ivory ribbon, were worn over the arm.

Bestman was Kenneth Hackel of Colby. Al Fricke, also of Colby, served as groomsman. Ushers were Steven Zinsli and Jon Zinsli, both of Loyal, and Tom Weis of Unity.

“The Lord’s Prayer” and a hymn were sung by Mrs. Sandra Maas, Susan Smith and Commie Smith, all of Greenwood. Mrs. William Frome of Colby was the organist.

A wedding reception for 150 guests was held at the Unity village hall.

The bride, a 1970 graduate of Loyal High School, Is employed as a pharmaceutical assistant in a Marshfield pharmacy. The groom, who graduated from Colby High School in 1968, is employed at Cherokee. The newlyweds will live in Spencer following their return from a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin.
