Becht, Kristin Elizabeth (Marriage - 18 September 1971)

Miss Kristin Elizabeth Becht and Charles John Neuendorf exchanged wedding vows Saturday, September 18, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Marshfield. The Rev. Peter J. Leketas officiated at the 12 o’clock noon ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Francis Becht, Marshfield, and the late Mrs. Becht. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Neuendorf, Neillsville, are the groom’s parents.

For her marriage, the bride chose a gown of white angel mist taffeta and Chantilly lace styled with a cathedral-length train and complimented by a shoulder-length veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of orange roses and fall colored pompons.

Mrs. Arlen Bender, Black River Falls, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Oliver Chesmore, Stratford, Miss Susie Neuendorf, Neillsville, and Mrs. Jack Ably, Marshfield. They wore avocado empire-waist gowns and carried cascades of fall-colored pompons.

Arlen Bender, Black River Falls, served as bestman. Groomsmen were Oliver Chesmore, Stratford, Dennis DeMert, Neillsville, and Larry Becht, Marshfield. Guests were seated by Jack Ably and Terry Becht.

Mrs. Helen Brinkman was the organist. Vocalists were Helen, Jane and Mary Schill. A reception and dinner in Msgr. Toeller Hall of Sacred Heart School followed the nuptial mass and ceremony.

The bride, a 1970 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School, has been employed in Marshfield. The groom graduated from Montello High School in 1967 and also attended Stevens Point State University. He is also employed in Marshfield.

The newlyweds, who are temporarily making their home in Neillsville, spent a week’s honeymoon at Hayward.
