Schultz, Gerhardt (20 APR 1929 - 25 SEP 1953)

Gerhardt Schultz, 24, of Willard (Clark Co., Wis.), operator of the Gorman Cheese Factory in the Town of Eaton, was instantly killed on Friday, Sept. 25th, 1953 when the car he was driving was hit by a car driven by Odin Wang, Neillsville. Mr. Wang was taken to the hospital in Neillsville for treatment.

The Schultz car was hit at the left front and Wang's at the right front. The impact caused both cars to go into the ditch at the northwest corner.

Gerhardt A. Schultz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schultz, Spencer, was born in the Town of Unity (Clark Co.) on April 20, 1929. He attended the Lutheran Parochial School and Spencer High School. On Oct. 3, 1948 he was married to Carol Schmidt at Spencer.

He is survived by his wife, three children, Sandra, Barbara and Robert, his parents, four sisters, Mrs. Everett Krause and Bernadine of Spencer, Eunice and Mabel, Marshfield, and a brother, Norbert, of Spencer.

Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran Church, Spencer on Monday, Sept. 28, 1953 at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Richard J. Scholz officiated. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.
