Koranda, Rosalie Ann (Marriage - 14 August 1971)

Miss Rosalie Ann Koranda became the bride of Thomas James Tibbett at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 14, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Charles D. Brady officiated at the double-ring ceremony which united the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Koranda, Rt. 3 Neillsville, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Tibbett of Neillsville.

Baskets of gladioli decorated the altar of the church. Miss Julie Knoff sang, “Ave Maria” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” She was accompanied by Mrs. Glenn Short. The choir of St. Mary’s also sang.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an A-line gown of soft nylon organza over white taffeta styled with a lace bodice, stand-up collar, and bishop sleeves. Her detachable full-length veil was held by a pearl-trimmed Juliet cap. White roses, baby’s breath and purple statis made up the bridal bouquet.

Jan E. Turner of Highspire, Pa., was the bride’s honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Marge Tibbett of Neillsville and Jeffie Saladen, Linda Baily and Mary Snowden, all of Highspire. All wore gowns which combined paisley print skirts with bishop-sleeves, ultra-sheer violet bodices. They carried baskets of daisies, purple asters and baby’s breath.

Bestman was Bruce Vandeberg. Groomsmen were Wayne Schlegelmilch, Joey Schield, James Knoff and Jeff Foster. John Tibbett and Dennis Diercks, Vesper, served as ushers.

A reception for 300 guests was held at the Wildcat Inn.

The bride, a 1969 graduate of Neillsville High School and a graduate of McConnell Airline School, Minneapolis, Minn., is employed as a stewardess. The groom, a 1970 Neillsville High School graduate, is a student at Kenosha Technical Institute.

The newlyweds will live in Kenosha.
