Limprecht, Fred August #2 (08 OCT 1850 - 23 APR 1941)

Fred August Limprecht, Warner Township was born in Wermer, Germany, October 8, 1850, the son of Moritz and Ernstine Limprecht, who came with his parents to Sheboygan in 1854, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 1941 at 4:10 p.m. at the Kroos home at Sheboygan at the age of 90 years.

Fred August was reared on a farm and educated in the common schools of Sheboygan County. At the age of 15 years he learned the miller trade which he followed several years around Sheboygan and Milwaukee and also in Chicago 4 years. He went to Chicago about 3 weeks before the fire of 1871, but in 1874 returned to Sheboygan County where he was married. Mr. Limprecht farmed on the homestead 4 years and in the spring of 1879 came to Hemlock where he built a large flour mill and also built the first dwelling house in the city.

Mr. Limprecht was married September 26, 1874 to Sitonia Seibel to whom five children were born, 2 of whom are still living, Charles of Washington and a daughter, Mrs. Allen (Antonia) Armstrong of Greenwood. His wife passed away in 1890 and in 1899 he was married to Bertha Cramer of Hemlock, Wisconsin to whom one son was born, Fred Junior. She passed away in 1931 and Mr. Limprecht went to Sheboygan to make his home with his brother-in-law the late Max Kroos where he resided since.

He leaves to mourn his low two sons, Fred Jr. of Hemlock, Wisconsin and Charles of Washington and one daughter, Mrs. Allen Armstrong of Greenwood, several grandchildren besides a host of other relatives and friends and several stepchildren.

Funeral services were held at the home at 1 o’clock Sunday afternoon April 27, 1941, Ref. E.G. Feiffer officiated. Mrs. George Einfeldt, Miss Martha Horn and Miss Elaine Belter, sang “Abide With Me,” “God Will Take Care Of You,” “Nearer My God To Thee.” He was laid to rest in the Braun Settlement Cemetery.

The pallbearers were Roy Rossman, Fred Busch, Walter Durst, Art Flikke, Peter Windom, and Oliver Windom.
