Loos, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert (14 Feb 1942 -20 May 1967)

Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Loos of route 1, Loyal, celebrated their 25th anniversary bon May 20 at the Spencer village hall. The actual date was February 14 but due to weather, it was postponed till then.

Gilbert Loos and Dorothy (Jean) Kruger were married February 14, 1942, at St Nicholas Church, Evanston, Illinois, by Rev. Father Gears. Attendants were Jerome Loos, Chicago, and Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Baulanger, Chetek. Both attended the celebration.

They lived in Chicago for a time and then he entered the service. After he was discharged, they moved to their present farm March 1, 1946.

The couple have 5 children, Tom and Mrs. Roy (Betty) Rondorf, Loyal, Bob, Sheboygan Falls, Patty in high school and Mike in the grades.

Te day began with a reception at 2 p.m. and buffet supper at 4 p.m. There was dancing in the evening with music by the Jolly Yanks.

A mock wedding ceremony was held, including the march in church, ceremony and the bridal dance. Those taking part were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Loos. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Loos, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rondorf, Joann Young, Lawrence Weyer and Richard Meyer.
