Wojcik, Joan M. (12 FEB 1958 – 14 JAN 2014)

Joan M. Wojcik, 55, Spencer, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, with her family by her side. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 1 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 17, at Christ The King Catholic Church in Spencer. Rev. Samuel Martin officiated. Burial followed in the West Spencer Cemetery.

Joan Krutza was born on Feb. 12, 1958, in Stevens Point, to Lawrence and Gertrude (nee Kaminski) Krutza. She earned her associates degree in dietary science. On Nov. 3, 1979, Joan married Leo Wojcik Jr. in Stevens Point. The couple dairy farmed full time and Joan also worked part time as a food service manager for Cedar Rail. She was a long-time member of Christ The King Catholic Church and the PCCW. She was very active in her community. Joan belonged to homemakers, FFA, Christian Mothers, and was a 4-H leader. Those who knew her best will miss her warm spirit and her love of family.

Joan is lovingly survived by her parents, Lawrence and Gertrude Krutza, Stevens Point; her husband, Leo Wojcik Jr., Spencer; her children, Sarah (Joshua) Moga, Spring Valley, and Benjamin Wojcik, Spencer; her grandson, Kolton Moga, Spring Valley; a brother, Mark (Terri) Krutza, Stevens Point; and a step-brother, Jerome (Linda) Stepaniak, Wauwatosa. She will truly be missed.
