Reigel, Adella J. (27 JUL 1930 - 27 MAR 2014)

Adella J. Reigel, 83, Marshfield, died on Thursday, March 27, 2014, in the emergency room of Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, April 1, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield. Rev. Eric Berns officiated. Burial took place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Adella Gessert was born on July 27, 1930, in Marshfield, the daughter of John and Emma (nee Willman) Gessert. She attended parochial school in Bakerville. She married Edward J. Reigel on Aug. 25, 1954, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Bakerville. He died on Sept. 1, 1994. The Reigels farmed in the town of Spencer where Adella enjoyed gardening and her flowers. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Reigel, Marshfield, and Kathy (Michael) Leader, Colby; two grandchildren, Bradley (Ashley) Leader, Colby, and Kristina Leader, Oak Dale, Minn.; four sisters, Bernadine Baltus, Marshfield, Adeline (Gerald) Meyer, Marshfield, Rita Hannan, Spencer, and Julie (Lawrence) Esselman, Loyal; and one brother, Lawrence (Mary) Gessert, Marshfield.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a son, John Reigel; a brother, Alois Gessert; and a sister, Delores Hutter.
