Sossaman, Estella Marie "Teda" (Kunze) Kulas (15 MAR 1932 - 5 JUN 2014)

Estella Marie "Teda" Kulas Sossaman, age 82, of Colby, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at her home with her family by her side.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. Father Dan Hackel will officiate. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm Sunday, June 8, 2014 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford with a rosary service at 4:30 pm and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Church. Burial will be in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery.

Teda was born March 15, 1932 to Joseph and Catherine (Meyer) Kunze in Abbotsford, WI. She received her education from the Colby School District. Teda was united in marriage to Theodore Kulas at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Colby on June 9, 1951. He passed away on April 10, 1970. Her second marriage took place on December 13, 1974 to Darrell Sossaman at Saint Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford. He also preceded her in death.

Teda was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford and a member of the Colby VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Teda enjoyed camping, bowling, playing cards, listening to polka music and watching family members at antique tractor pulls. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Teda is lovingly survived by her children; Edward (Nancy) Kulas, Catherine (Steve) Johnson, Jacqueline (Kevin) Meyer and Vicky Deckelman, stepchildren; Kathleen (Tom) Bey, and Mark (Julie) Sossaman, grandchildren; Sarah (David) Cerny, Theodore Kulas, Kevin Johnson, Jessica Weimert, Lindsey and Ashley Meyer, Kelly and Samuel Deckelman, stepgrandchildren; Daphne, Anthony and Deena Sossaman, 9 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Teda is further survived by a sister; Frances Angelich and brothers; Raymond Kunze, Bernard (Beverly) Kunze and Gilbert (Joanne) Kunze.

Teda is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings; Lawrence Kunze, Herbert Kunze and Helen Kunze (in infancy).The Maurina Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Friends may send online condolences to www.maurinaschilling.com.
