Zajack, Carolyn (Marriage - 9 September 1972)

Mr. and Mrs. Chester Zajack of Thorp presented their daughter, Miss Carolyn Rose Zajack, in marriage to Francis S. Harycki Saturday afternoon, September 9, at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Thorp. The groom is the son of Ed Harycki of Thorp.

The bride approached the altar in a white gown of soft taffeta styled with an attached train and embellished by a hemline ruffle of embroidered lace. Her bouquet of white and red roses was accented with trailing ivy.

Kathy Kielkucki of St. Paul, Mn. was the honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Rita Nowicki of Chippewa Falls, Marlene Jankee of Owen and Anita Zajack. Their long-sleeved orange gowns were highlighted by brown and gold trim around collars and sleeves. They carried fall arrangements of yellow, gold and brown mums, carnations and dried wheat and oats.

The groom chose Bill Harycki as bestman. Carl Zajack and Casey Zajack served as groomsmen. Ushers were S. Harycki, brother of the groom, and Jerry Harycki, cousin of the groom. Michael Jablonic, St. Cloud, Mn, acted as ringbearer. Flower girls were Charlene Kielkucki of St. Paul and Janette Wirth.

A reception for 250 guests at the Thorp American Legion Hall featured music by Mike Krazanowski and his orchestra.

Both bride and groom are high school graduates and he is a technical institute graduate. The new Mrs. Harycki is employed in Thorp; her husband owns a jewelry store there. They will make their home in Thorp after their return from a wedding trip to Washington, D.C.
