Miss Sharon I. Brehm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Brehm, Unity, became the bride of John A. Meyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Meyer, Colby, Saturday, June 4, in St. Mary’s Catholic church, Colby, with Rev. Ambrose Blenker performing the ceremonies.

Mr. Brehm gave his daughter in marriage.  She appeared in a floor length wedding gown of white crepe with a peacock train.  Florentine lace decorated the waistline and the sleeves.  Her fingertip veil of silk illusion was attached to a headpiece of tiny pearls.  She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and white mums.

Attending the bride were the maid of honor, Miss Ann Meyer, Minneapolis, and bridesmaid, Miss Barbara Meyer, Colby, both sisters of the groom.  They wore floor length gowns of pale green taffeta with white dotted Swiss on the bodice and train.  Each wore a pillbox headpiece with an illusion veil and they carried nosegays of a yellow rose and white mums.

Robert Brehm, Unity, was best man, and the groomsman was Paul Brehm, Unity.

A reception and dinner were held in the Methodist church hall, Colby, following the ceremony.

The wedding party and guests were received at the home of the bride’s parents for the remainder of the evening.

The bride, a graduate of Colby high school, attended the University of Wisconsin, and will be employed at Memorial Library, Madison.

The groom, also a graduate of Colby high school, is attending the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

The couple will reside at 519 West Main, Madison, Wisconsin.

Attending the wedding were guests from Colby, Unity, Sheboygan, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Minn., Madison, Wausau, Hartland, Poy Sippi, Lannon, Marion, Ind., Franklin Park and Rosemont, Ill., Odell and La Crosse.
