North Grant (21 Sep 1916)

Fred Kier bought a corn binder of the Luethe Co. last week.

The school bus has been fitted with new single seats and everything is being put in readiness for school to begin Monday.

The severe frost of Saturday night hastened the corn cutting and silo filling, which had begun last week, a large acreage being ripe, the frost did little damage.

F. Kier and family recently spent an evening at the R. Bruss home.

John Howard was a business caller here last week.

Fred and Frank Vine drove a large flock of lambs to Granton Monday.

Robert Bruss shocked corn for F. Kier and the latter cut corn for him and also for Joe Buss.

The H. Garbisch children gave a party Sunday to a number of their young friends.
