Whether he's strutting down the halls, sneaking up in the study hall lunch line, or just plain trying to stay awake in history class, Jim Dobrzynski has a knack for making his presence known. Everyone knows that Jim's coming before he can be see, and then, at the sound of his hearty voice, sets about preparing for a damaging slap on the back or (shoulders) or something worse. But Jim's antics (ow!) don't take away any of his friends of friendliness. His burly sprawling frame seems to always support a sparkling smile, on that seems to make you want to smile too. He's nover short of things to do, and can be counted on to perk up a dull moment.

But Jim's school days aren't all fun-oriented. When it come to school and class projects, he has always shown an honest effort. And when it comes to football….of all his activities, Jim probably most enjoyed and is best remembered for playing football. Specializing in the defensive tackle position, he was a standout on the team and won postseason honors. Although Jim wasn't what Horace Mann had in mind when the U.S. education system was set up, I don't think anyone would want him to change.
