------ Eggert, Kathryn Marie (11 JUN 1966)

At St. James Lutheran church at Shawano on Saturday, June 11, the sacrament of holy matrimony was conferred on each other by Lofton Lee Runzheimer and Kathryn Marie Eggert.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Runzheimer of Colby and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Eggert of 14 W. Pine St., Shawano.

For the 4 o’clock ceremony, candelabra were placed on the pews and the altar was adorned with pale yellow mums.  H. A. Handrich played “Pomp and Circumstance” as a wedding march and Miss Nancy Guptill sang “Gebet” by Hugo Wolf and “The Song of Ruth” by Gounod.

The Rev. H. G. Parsch heard their exchange of vows on a double ring ceremony.

For her wedding the bride was attired in a gown of ivory silk organza designed with a dome skirt with a detachable chapel train.  The long sleeved bodice was detailed with pearl trimmed re-embroidered Alencon lace.  Her silk illusion veil was attached to a bow highlighted with lace and crystal flowers.  She carried a bouquet of white roses and green foliage.

Her attendants wore floor-length dresses of ivory linen.  The bodices featured scoop necklines and short sleeves trimmed with Venice lace.  Olive green ribbon trim with a bow and streamers at the back accented the natural waistline.  A row of Venice lace was featured at the bottom of the straight skirt.  They wore headpieces made of silk illusion attached to a bow and they carried an arrangement of ivory and green foliage.

Attending as maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Miss Peggy Eggert.  Her bridesmaids were a friend, Mrs. William Cantwell Jr., and the groom’s sister, Miss Beverly Runzheimer.

Roger Parkinson of Washington, D. C., a friend of the groom, was the best man, and James Runzheimer of Colby, and Billy Massey of Akron, Ohio, were groomsmen.

Luke Parsch of Wausau and James Gemrich of Milwaukee were the ushers.

About 150 guests attended the reception and buffet supper at the Bilmay Hotel.

The address of the new Mr. and Mrs. Runzheimer is 1076 Agate, Apt. 301, St. Paul, Minn.  The groom, a 1964 graduate of the University of Wisconsin and a 1966 graduate of the Harvard School of Business, is employed at the International Division of 3M Company at St. Paul.  His bride is a 1962 graduate of the Shawano high school and a 1966 graduate of the University of Wisconsin.
