Diercks, Terry Dawn (Marriage - 16 September 1972)

Mr. and Mrs. Van Gregory Humphrey, who were married September 16, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Chill, are making their home on Rt. 2, Neillsville. Mrs. Humphrey is the former Miss Terry Dawn Diercks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Diercks of Rt. 4 Mosinee. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Humphrey of Rt. 1, Chili.

The Rev. Robert Houston officiated at the 2 p.m. double-ring ceremony. A reception in the church basement was followed by a dinner at the Hacienda club for members of the family and the bridal party.

The former Miss Diercks wore an Edwardian-style gown of rayon organza over taffeta as she was given in marriage by her father. Attendants were Jane Meier of Neillsville and Gary Bartz of Colby.

Ushering duties were shared by Duane Marty of Granton and David Janke of Humbird. The bride’s brother, Craig Diercks, served as ringbearer. Kim Hechel of Chili was the miniature bride.

Miss Linda Diers was the organist. The bride’s aunt, Mary Ann Johnson, sang “Whither Thou Goest” and “Till”.

The bride attended Neillsville High School. Her husband graduated from the Granton High School in 1972 and is employed locally.
