------ Miller, Marilyn Marie (22 NOV 1950 – 23 JUN 1966)

Services were conducted Monday afternoon at Zion Lutheran church, Colby, for Marilyn Marie Miller, 15, who died Thursday, June 23, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman E. Miller, rural Colby, after a lingering illness.  Rev. David Pankow officiated and burial was made in the Colby Memorial cemetery.

Pallbearers were friends and members of her confirmation class; Larry Haas, Ronald Boss, James Staffeil, James Prokosch, Michael Schultz and James Diedrich.

The junior choir, accompanied by Mrs. Priem, sang “The Lord Is My Shepherd”, “Blessed Are The Sons of God” and “I Know That My Redeemer Lives”.  The congregation sang “What God Ordains Is Always Good”.

Members of the Walther League attended in a group.

The body lay in repose at the Lulloff Funeral Home from Saturday evening until time of services. 

Marilyn was born November 22, 1950, at Marshfield, and had attended the Colby public schools.  She was confirmed May 24, 1964, at Zion Lutheran church and was a member of the Walther League.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn is survived by her parents, her two brothers, Leslie and Norman, both at home, and her maternal grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sturtz of Loyal.

Attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sturtz, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Gray, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Talcott, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Talcott, Darryl Talcott, all of Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Mellenthin, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mellethin, Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gandt, Mrs. Myrtle Baerenwald, Mrs. Peter Peterson, Mrs. Stanley Mader, Marshfield; Mrs. Mae Norse, Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Howie Sturtz, Sherri, Candy and Judy, Mr. and Mrs. Wilber Hagen, Mr. and Mrs. Ada Darling, Mrs. Ellen Englund, Meillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Louie Miller, North Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Schlinsog, Susan and Norman, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Winkel, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schlinsog and Karen, Mrs. Christine Elmhorst, Barbara and Mrs. Kenneth Stafford, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hannan, Loyal and many other relatives and friends from the surrounding area.
